Super Sunday - Jubilee Course, St Andrews

Seven of us braved a chilly day on the challenging Jubillee course in St Andrews for the first medal of the season and the golf was mixed. After an eventful afternoon and evening watching the climax of the 6 Nations at the Prosser cottage in Dairsie, heads were sore and enthusiasm was low on the first tee. A superb sausage/bacon/bowl of muesli definitely help regenerate the aching body parts and the round was away with Bredin and Macfarlane taking on Allingham in the first match and Prosser and Appleson facing Lowe and Fairweather. Both matches were close. Bredin and Macfarlane ganging up to beat Allingham 2&1 whilst Prosser and Appleson inflicted a 1 up defeat on Lowe and Fairweather. Lunch was had, a glass was raised to the memory of Mr Prosser and the scores and handicaps were collated as follows. Appleson 29pts off 16 - down to 15 Fairweather 14 pts off 10 - up to 13 Lowe 22 pts off 18 - up to 19 Prosser 27 pts off 21 - down to 20 Macfarlane 26 pts off 18 - down to 17 Allingham 24 pts off 9 - up to 11 Bredin 19 pts off 18 - up to 19
